This is the smoothie that I drink every morning before heading off to the gym. It is full of protein and healthy fats for sustained energy. Try it out and add ingredients to suit your tastes.
- 1 cup of homemade hemp milk
- 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen berries (you can substitute any other fruit here)
- 4 tbsp hemp protein
- 3 tbsp brown rice protein
- 2 tbsp fresh almond butter
- 1/2 cup fresh kale
- 2 tbsp raw agave nectar
Combine all ingredients in a blender and add water as needed for smoothness. I drink the entire shake myself, but you could easily divide it into two servings.

If you are looking for a lighter version simply omit the agave nectar and almond butter. The flavor won’t be quite as sweet, but you”ll save calories from fat and carbs. This version only has 590 calories with 26 grams of fat and 68 grams of carbs. Be creative and enjoy!
